Hello Gunts33,

The classic series '50s Strat is
available in Surf green.

Nice guitars they are.

Cheers

PS In that same higher price range
you have the Jeff Beck and the '62 vintage

Some dealers still have some of the American 62' Reissue Strats in Surf Green. I have not seen an American Std. in that color.

There was an FSR Highway One Strat is Surf Green last year, you may be able to pick one up online somewhere. Two Alto Music stores in my area still had one each not too long ago. They had the 50's headstock, rosewood fretboard and Custom Shop 69 pickups. I have one, but have done some mods.

Just so you know, Tom's guitar isn't any good and no other strat has a sound like Tom's. Of course you could mod them, but all in all, Tom's strat is an exception as most strats aren't made for that kind of music. It has SD Invader pickups which are very hot. I guess if you wan't Tom's model, you should look it up on ebay, last time I checked they had plenty of those there for a reasonable price (they are pretty cheap). I played an Epiphone copy of Tom's Gibson ES-333 and it was a rather pointless guitar. The sound you get with the dirty fingers isn't very good and well, you don't have much of a choice on that guitar anyway.

You know, if you play pop punk or anything in that area, Tom's strat will actually suit you just fine. I'm sorry, I got a little carried away before, as I was really disappointed in his ES-333. I looked up to him when I started playing guitar. Tom's strat is pretty perfect for that kind of sloppy pop punk and well, even I'd like a surf green Tom strat, just to have one as a reminder of my childhood idol and stuff. Fender doesn't make them anymore anyway, so it would be like a collectible :D Get the Fender one, it's not that expensive, but you'd be disappointed if you got some other strat for pop punk. If I lived in the States I would probably have one already, but I live in crappy Estonia, so the transport costs would be pretty high and also, I have never had a chance to actually try the beast out.
