Another question before I change to 10s- I expect that the bridge will rise (bigger tension). Will some turning of the trem screws in the cavity be enough to bring it to its current position (which I like)? There are 3 springs back there, will I have to add more? I somehow suspect it must be a silly question, but I love my strat so much so I can't think clearly.. please be gentle!

Mine had 3 springs and 10's on it when I bought it, so I would say that it isn't absolutely necessary. When I switched to 9's I just loosened the spring claw. I expect that you'll just have to do the opposite, just tighten the claw with your 3 springs. (and adjust intonation)

Going from 9's to 10's some tweaking of the entire setup will most likely be needed.

Thx guys, Chet, of course I'm going to give it a setup. Can you please give me some help regarding the specific part of the setup? Will I need more trem springs? Thanks a lot.

You will be fine with 3 springs. After you put the new strings on and tuned to the tuning you will use that guitar in, check the height of the back of the bridge, it should be about 1/8 inch. If it is higher you will want to screw in the trem claw screws until you get that height. Check the neck relief, then string height, then intonation.
