That's a sweet looking guitar. I'm glad you did'nt get the Mother-of-Toilet-Seat Pickguard with it. If that plays and sounds as good as it looks, you've got a little monster there.
-I did spill the beans about the Seafoam Green guitar, it's on the previous page.

Thank you, Those guitars both came with gold hardware, sort of...I'll explain:

The Surf Green Strat, which is a custom model (flame maple neck, clay dots, and Texas Specials) Serial# CV58884 came with the aged gold hardware.
This is a 1999 model guitar at least that is what I was told by the sales clerk.

I stand corrected. I should be more attentive eh? My guitar serial reads CZ5 and the neck/body dates 2006. Maybe yours dates to 95/96. It would be intersting to know. Just to validate a theory of mine. :)

Actually, it's a FrankenStrat put together with some parts from the Custom Shop. The pups I had in there originally were DiMarzio HS-2's and HS-3, but I put in the Texas Specials because they sound so much better. The Dimarzio's are still in a baggie waiting for an appropriate guitar to find a home in.
The neck date is Feb 4, 1999, no clue of the body date other than the model it came from, which would be 2000 RI?
Still, for the price, I can't beat it

I know it's not a Fender, but it was the first one I ever got. We all had to start somewhere right?

First guitar, amp, and effects. I had no idea what to do with any of it at the age of nine

Just a blast from the past

Niki,

The guitar and amp are both from 1967, The guitar is the Phantom VI, the Amp is the Viscount 2x12" combo.
The wah pedal is a 1968 Clyde McCoy, I got that a year later when they came out.
All of this gear is still original.

Fhopkins,

I used to have one of those back around 1984, and I got rid of it. They are huge, and cannot be transported in one piece. The head , the cab, and the rack, have to be transported separately or the rack will disintegrate under the weight of the head and cab.
The cab was loaded with 2x15" Vox Bulldogs, and a Vox Horn driver in the top of the cab.
I sold mine in 1985

Oh yeah, a pain to move around. I'd just like to have one to decorate my music room with. I guess I'm just sentimental!

My childhood hermits dream was a cottage in the country. No woman no dog no nothing just a lounge wallpapered with 4x12 cabs and cove/cornice detail of plexi heads.

Niki,
I'll be posting pics of some of my other guitars that I have in the closet still as I pull them out. I'll also be posting pics of my Silver face Fender amps that I have when I get them all cleaned up. I have a tidy collection of those too which I use for various occasions.
Rather than take any of these now hard-to find amps out to play with, I'm using my ADA gear and I use my vintage amps as models to create the tones in my ADA rigs. I have a ton of that gear too, and until I get a Cyber Twin, I use these to play out.
Here's a pic of the latest rig I put together:
Image
This is one of two MP-2 rigs I've been using, and they reproduce the sounds of my vintage amps very well
