Hello Gang,

My name is Harley, and I'm new to this forum, but definitely not new to Fender. I own quite a collection of Fender guitars and amps, many are probably considered "vintage" these days.
I've owned a lot more guitars and amps in the past than I do now, some I sold, some were stolen.
I do have an issue I could use a little help on: 1988 HM Strat. I bought one of these about ten years ago, and I play it every now and then. It is completely stock, but I just discovered the wiring is messed up. I cannot seem to find an original wiring diagram for this guitar in the Archives, and I've spent about 2 hours combing through the topics trying to find some reference to this without success. Can anyone point me in the right direction to restore this guitar to it's original wiring? I'd appreciate any help here.
Thank you.

Welcome to the Forum!

Some pics of your guitars would be cool.

Contact Fender at consumerrelations@fender.com for info on your guitar.

I'll have to take some pics of my guitars, most of my pics are just scene shots from gigs or in my studio.
Would you like just pics of my guitars? Or, my guitars and amps as well?
I have quite a few of the old Silverface amps that I would'nt get rid of, as well as the guitars I was'nt stupid enough to sell off.

ok, here is my first "How to" question about this forum: How do you post pics on here please?

I have a pic of my live stage rig that I've been using for the past 7 years which is currently being revamped. I'll post this under the topic of "Vintage Amps (Pre 1985) since this is a little teaser of a few of my old Fenders.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, and the responses. I think this is a pretty cool forum, and I'm going to like it here.

you need to upload the photo's to photobucket or another image sharing site. here you will receive a IMG code for said picture.
Copy that code, come to this site (this is where tabbed browsing comes into its own) press the img button just above the dialogue entry box which will give you this

There is a pic of my former live rig posted in the Vintage Amps thread, I'll post more pics as I can take them and upload them to Photobucket!
Thanks again for all the help!

Hi Gang,

Just thought I'd stop in and add a pic of my other Stratocaster. The pics of my other Fender guitars will be posted in the Telecaster, and Other Fender Guitars sections. Unless people here consider the HM Strat to be a Stratocaster as well.

Enjoy,

I certainly consider the HM to be strat, one of my faves actualy. Love the gold hardware by the way.

Isn't the wiring on the HM meant to coiltap the humbucker in possition 4?
