Hey fellow strat owners, I have a question. Has anyone had a problem with the mahogany special strat? I'm about to do my 3rd exchange at my local G.C. due do a never ending buzz when using a pick on the 3rd -6th strings. The last one was set up by a Fender specialist with no improvement. When using my thumb theres little or no buzz, but with an aggressive pick attack its annoying. This one has a kink in the neck showing relief on the bass side, but none on treble side. HELP!

I'd call Fender support and explain the situation. maybe they can help or find you one that doesn't buzz.

Maybe there's something wrong with the nut or the bridge saddles?

Wow.....when I was looking for my last strat........the mahogany strat was one of the guitars I was thinking of............

Guess someone was looking over me, on that decision.

Ive a partsocaster with a mahogany body, it does seem susceptable to pick attack whatever the action or height of the pickups. The thing is set up to near perfection, ive spent the last month tinkering with the neck angle relief and frets. I think the body is just that way inclined. It resonates to the point that it tickles the ribs when playing it.
Does the buzz sound originate from the neck or body? With mine if found it buzzes from the top horn area.
