That's funny because I play my electrics frequently like that. Sometimes, I am just in a lower-energy state and want to play but veg out a little. Other times, I like to play with my family as they watch TV or (in the case of my boys) play video games. To me, it just feels good to get my fingers on a fretboard. I either go for some lazy blues, shred away, or play really old Eagles tunes.

Hmmm ... but I thought we all did that to some degree??? I always have...

Congrats on your new gear! I remember when I got my first electric guitar. It's an Ibanez SZR. Back then I didn't have an amplifier, so for 6 months I played it through a Hitachi stereo which was like 30-40 years old. I'd crank it up to get distortion. Anyway, I spent at least 4-5 hours a day playing for 2-3 years. Nowadays I don't usually have that much time to play.

Sadly I don't have much time as I'd like because of school :? but, I get what I can when it comes to practicing. Once I get enough money I think I might get me a Blackheart Little Giant tube amp, I've heard great things about them and they are cheap :D .

Umm. I'm not sure but when looking at a local guitar store I think I spotted a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for about $255. I hope I'm not being delusional, if it is that price I better save up quick. :D

Wrong the price is $399 but still a killer price :)
