Hello Cappy83,

I've wanted a Sherwood green
one for a while, maybe one day.

Cheers.

I'm really torn. Because I like a nice wood grain as exposed by a sunburst (2- or 3-tone), but I sure like a White without the clear coat (so that it doesn't yellow with age):

I always think of the guitar on the Jeff Beck Wired album cover.

is that a 1965 pre-cbs strat?

and is it yours?

"Yes" to both questions. It's got the small headstock, green guard, and the "transition" logo. So it could be an early 1965, but it's a late 1964. I don't remember exactly what day I bought it, but this summer marks 30 years that I've owned it. It's real sweet.

I am from the era when the tobacco sunburst and orangish tinted maple neck were "the thing" so ... that is my favorite color.

I have had several black with maple neck strats and like them too.

At present, as you can see in my signature, I have my favorite. Her name is "Honey" and here she is in all of her magnificent glory:

Sienna or any cherry type burst (like the picture on the first page of this thread).
Vintage white/cream
Black only when it comes on Aerodyne guitars...

I own a 3 color sunburst Highway 1 that looks pretty much like the guitar Blackmore played in the early 70's... it makes me happy although I wouldn't have chosen that color if I could choose any color I want...
