Ive owned 2 of these really cool strat's over the years, just about to buy a 3rd.

Does anyone on here have any background on them? Im quite a strat buff, know my stuff about them, models, years etc but cant seem to find any specific info on the FENDER Wayne's World 2 Stratocasters.

NOT the MIJ Squires, MIM Fender WW2's

Anyone with any info how they came into being and production start & stops that would be awesome!

the only thing I know about Waynes World 1 and 2 is his strat is supposed to be a clapton signature...

Yea Im talking about the actual guitars Fender put out for the realease of the movies...

There were the Squire MIJ Waynes World Strats that im not intersted in

AND there were the Fender MIM Waynes World 2 Strats based on the 1964 Excaliber model featured in the movie...thats what im talking about.

Just recieved Wayne's World 2 Strat for Father's Day 2011.My first electric guitar. Any suggestions as to replacing pickups to upgrade , better strings , any technical improvements . Also any websites available to get the value . If it's valuable I will treat it differently ( keep it original ) if it's just a run of the mill Strat I may modify it.
