I have the same guitar, but mine is with EMG-pickups. I asked the guy I bought it from if it was like that when he bought it originally, and he said yes. The thing that also is weird is that mine just has 2 knobs (volume and tone) and the pickguard doesn't have any third hole in it. He had changed the 2 knobs with some which were a bit cooler, but he had still kept the 2 original ones. Also when I remove the pickguard to change the battery, I can see the cavity is fully painted with the excact same finish. When I sent my serialnumber to Fender though it didn't say it was fitted with 2 knobs or EMG-pickups, but the same as yours.

Is anyone able to help me here?
