Hey,
Just curious. I'm kind of a simple guy. On my strats I've tightened the springs down on the bridge and basically use it as a hardtail. My whammy bars stay in that little compartment inside the case. I play a lot of different stuff, but never found a real use for them :)

Not very often, I'd say 95% without and 5% with. I'm like you as I leave it off and have my trim flush with the body of the guitar.

I use my whammy bar alot. I think its an alot more versatile and unique sounding guitar with it on.

Never... that's why I swapped my trem for a fixed bridge. 8)

My Strat's bridge has gone from trem to hardtail. Personally, I feel that string-bending is more superior to using the trem in the long run.

I leave my whammy on only because it looks sweet, I rarely if ever use it though.

I use it from time to time, but i only use it to add some vibrato on a couple of notes like David Gilmour does!

I'd love to use more of it but right now, if at all I use it,it's mostly for the last song (so I dont have to worry about tuning probs ) or when my lead solo gets too long & I get bored.I mostlly remove it .

It's funny that you would ask this, because I was just recently analyzing my playing style with and without trem. For me, I do a lot of bending and use a lot of vibrato. Even though I have gone through periods of heavy use, I came to the conclusion that my playing is actually better without it. I discovered that for what I would use trem for, it would sound better if I attempt to use finger bends or vibrato instead.

Just my $0.02. Maybe even $0.01.

I did the same to mine.

I like to keep things simple onstage. Both of my guitars are non-trem & no effects. Just me, a guitar, and a tube amp. My #1 guitar is a clapton strat & they come standard with a wooden block wedged between the body and the tremolo block. It came with the stuff to make the trem operational but I have had no desire to do so.

All of the tremelo's on my strats are resting against the body for better sustain. I went through the 80's whammy bar craze and can't get excited about using them anymore.

I only seem to use it for surfer songs, or songs like Secret Agent man.
