Anyone know if anybody makes a "smoked chrome" or "black chrome" input jack plate for the strat? I just put a Kahler black nickel bridge on and I LOVE the look. I'm hoping that I won't have to settle for a plain black input jack.

Thanks Chet... it looks like solid black will have to be the way to go. I REALLY love that 'smoked chrome' look, and was just hoping that MAYBE somewhere out there I could get more hardware to match. :(

I've seen the one you are looking for, with that smoked finish. ... Er, now I can't find it - but keep looking: it exists!

Actually, try Gotoh: they are making tuners with that finish now - I believe they call it "cosmo black" - so maybe they make other metal parts with it too.

Cheers - C

Why, shucks... - C

EDIT: Actually, point of interest, there is something in the ordinary black finish that is toxic in some way or other. It is gradually being banned around the world. The European Union banned it last year, so you will notice on Stewart-MacDonald's pages for instance that parts in traditional black finish can no longer be exported to the EU. No doubt the same will happen in America, sooner or later.

That "cosmo black" is not toxic in the same way, and is the answer to the problem. So you are going to see your smokey black more and more often. Just cross your legs and wait...! - C
