I'm really sorry to hear that.
That is some serious B.S.
I hope karma catches up with the bum, and you find a replacement soon.
Your dreams are the music, and the guitar is an instrument to paint the picture. Don't give up on what you are trying to do.

I feel deeply sorry for you. It is a shame that we do not have trust in this world anymore.

But keep an eye out on at your local pawn shops. You can even let them know, and if they get a guitar, and if you can prove it is yours, you can get it back with help from the police. Pawn shops usually record every transaction on tape when they sell stuff, and you may even catch the bum!

Also, watch EBAY.

But, on another note......

I am going to have a MINT 2008 American Standard Strat for sale in about two to three weeks. It was played a couple of times, but that's it. The pups are modified, IMPROVED:). It's black with a 3 ply B/W/B pickguard.

I can give you a really really great deal on it if you are interested.

Let me know.

I wish I could welcome you to the Forum under better circumstances.

When I was in high school, someone broke into our house and stole my brother's Harmony and my red Univox ES-335 copy. The silver lining on the otherwise dark cloud was that I replaced it with my first Fender.

If you've got the serial no. written down someplace, it's a good idea to let guitar shops and pawn shops know your axe was stolen. Also, you might want to try this . . .

Good luck, man.

If he knows the model number and Serial number......and reports it to the police........it will be entered into a computer network, and come up as stolen should an officer come across it.

Shoooooot. I'd be raiding everybody's house to get my Strat back. Sorry to hear about your loss. :(

Never got any retribution for my strat that was stolen.
That wasn't all, they also took my mesa boogie dual rectifier half stack.
I later replaced it but it was painful. I have only hoped to get the strat back but it will probably never be.

People that do somthing like this don't think about it you guys.
If someone breaks into your house, u will be amazed how they mistreat what u hold dear.
The point is that they have no thought, not in that sense anyway.

If you itemize your taxes, losses due to theft are a tax deduction. Document this well now (preferably with a police report) and remember to include it in your tax return.

Guitars are just material things, just like everything else...
I know it's sad to have something stolen from you but dont let this situation affect your goals and dreams keep on with it!
:P
