I would like to have my 5 way switch wired as follows:
1 bridge
2 bridge + middle
3 bridge + neck
4 middle + neck
5 neck
Is this possible?

IMO yes. Just need to rewire the switch contacts.

IMO most of the time, bridge position is 5 not , neck is no 1

Not as far as I am aware without introducing a relay system.

The 5 way switch is a hybrid of the original 3 way switch where players, back in the day, would locate the switch to touch traces 1+2 or 2+3 at the same time

What you are asking would require linking traces 1+3 without 2 so it ain't happenin' with the standard 5 way switch IMHO.

One of the rare occasions where I have to disagree with stratele52 - on both accounts...

Can't be done with a regular 5Way switch, not enough options.
But when there's a Willie, there's a Waylon; the Schaller Megaswitch E

And in Fender language, position 1 = bridge, position 5 = neck. Even with google translate.

Your best bet is to add a "neck on" switch. You can use a Push/Pull switch on a pot or add a toggle. You can find wiring diagrams all over the internet. I did this on one of my guitars, it will accomplish what you want and give you other tone options.

Hope this helps, since this forum is closing in a few days this may be the last advice I give.

Good luck and God bless to you and everyone else!
