I caught some of the Crossroads concert footage and noticed the white Strat with a gold guard he used. The gold looked really good with the white finish, imo.

Yeah I love the look of the gold on a white guitar.

I remember when his signature guitar first appeared in the mid-eighties. He was using guitars with both red and pewter finishes. Then they built the 'Blackie'. Then he played a white guitar on the "From the Cradle' tour, along with an impressive collection of Gibsons. Then they changesd the pickups in the "Blackie". Somewhere in-between he was using a gold-leafed finished guitar, and then came the "Crash" strat.
Now this.

They just send the word out to the CS..."build me this" and they build it. Don't go nuts trying to play what they play. Find a guitar that speaks to you and talk back.

In my opinion, I like any guitar Clapton plays, as long as it's not that multi-colored strat he's been using for awhile, I hate that thing.

As of lately, I don't like Clapton much anymore, his image has changed, it's like he doesn't give a damn anymore. I guess that's what old age will do for ya.

He can still play though.

I love the Crashocasters. I would love to get my hands on one of them.
