I found this Stratocaster online, the guy that is selling can’t find a serial number. Is there any other way to tell if it is an original Fender or just a cheap copy? He sent me a bunch of pictures, the head, backside and bridge. I would be very grateful if someone could help med. Best Regards Stefan.

All genuine Fender Stratocasters will have a serial number assigned to it, regardless of country-of-origin. It may be stamped onto the neck plate or presented as a decal affixed to the headstock, either on the front side or the reverse. Strats of Japanese origin will often have a decal serial on the neck itself, adjacent to the heel end.

No serial makes me suspect the guitar's pedigree.

First you need to upload your pics to the internet. Use a pic hosting site (imgur, imgbb or such - avoid photobucket).
The important thing is that the web site provides you with a pic address - that's the one starting with 'http' or 'https' and ending in '.jpg' .

Copy the pic address, and use the IMG-command (visible when you write a message) on the forum.

Preview your post so everything is OK.
