Hello all - first time poster.

I have what I had always assumed was a 1987 Strat Plus. Bought it from a reputable music store in Brooklyn around 2007 and never once had an issue where I needed to take off the pickguard or neck. The neck is def a real Strat Plus maple neck with an E4 serial. On heel it is dated October 87. It had a professional upgrade sometime in it's life from the original nut to the LSR roller nut. The body looked right, correct pickups, correct bridge, etc. The body and the neck and electronics, hardware etc - were all aged evenly and appropriately for a well played 1987 guitar. Lots of nicks dings, wear, checking, etc. I've read up on the Plus guitars from Xhefri's website, so I had a decent idea of what made a Plus a Plus. This guitar has been my favorite guitar out of a stable of 10 or so, for the last 13 years. It's hands down the best strat I've owned in playability, tone, sound, keeping tune, feel - everything.

Anyhow... cut to yesterday, when I pulled it out of storage and decided to clean it all up and put on some fresh strings. I remove the pickguard to perhaps give a spray to the pots etc - and immediately see that this body doesn't have the swimming pool route. Uh oh. Not only does it have the 3 individually routed pickup cavities, there is also a later route for a bridge humbucker present (irrelevant to my question for the forum). One thing Xhefri is adamant about is that ALL Strat Pluses (certainly from the first several years of production) have the swimming pool route.

I then proceed to pull off the neck (again, this is the first time I've ever removed the neck plate and neck) and I see something else. It appears this body was converted from a 3 bolt to a 4 bolt pattern. Now I'm wondering what vintage this body is, and beyond that, is this even a Fender body? Anybody have any idea's how to identify this body if it lacks any visible serial/stickers/markings? Here are some pics of neck pocket for starters...

Not sure what it is... but what it isn't is a 70s Fullerton 3-bolt body.
Those had a metal puck inset into the bottom of the neck pocket to retain the adjuster for the micro-tilt, so there would be a circular route to receive the puck:

agreed.

(also, this is an accidental duplicate thread from another one - so I'm hoping to delete so as not to annoy members)
