I need help. I purchased an Acoustasonic Tele (pretty cool) and when I strum heavy or up pick on the high E string is occasionally falls out of the groove in the nut and rests on the side of the neck.

Has anyone else seen this? What should I do? Maybe file the groove? What gauge / type of strings are best for this guitar (I think the previous owner had replaced them).

The action is very high as well.. is it easy to lower it to make it easier to play?

Thanks!

You have an answer on your second post.

Forum Fender.co is sometimes slow to show our post.

To answer your specific questions in this post, these guitars ship with Fender® Dura-Tone® 860CL Coated Phosphor Bronze (.011-.052 Gauge) strings.
It's not obvious how you might be able to adjust string height based on the info provided by Fender.
Perhaps solvable by neck shimming.

The high e string slipping out of the nut slot seems to be a common issue on acoustasonic teles. Perhaps solvable by installation of a string tree on the peg head. More posts here:

Apparently no warranty information directly linkable from the specs or technical support tabs for this guitar. Since you bought it from a second party, I fear you may be S.O.L.

Take a look at the nut slot.
Maybe it's not cut wide and deep enough first
Before shimming and other such stuff
