Hello,
I'm from France.
I've just bought a used Fender Stratocaster, the neck is an 2017 MIM.
But the body I don't know, but does not fit perfectly with the neck.
The body contains info that could let think it is US but I have doubt....

Le corps indique 2006 , tu es certains que ce n'est pas une 2007 sur le manche ?

D'autres photos seraient nécessaires.

The neck is a 2017 with a serial MX17935834:

The main question for me was that I don't know there was difference between neck pocket during years for mexican fender guitars.

2017 neck with 2006 body and modified bridge?
Starting to look like partscaster. What about the rest of the guitar e.g pot code dates. :D

Yes its is...
The body and electronics (pots, pickups, swhitch etc...) are mexican, the saddles has been changed but I've got the original ones.
Only the neck has been changed but this does not statisfy me.
So I think I will sell neck and body separately.
Thanks all for your reply.

There is zero doubt that body is MIM.

If you look in the control cavity, there is a tag with the serial number MO1066293. That is a part number for a Made in Mexico Stratocaster body.

In the neck pocket, the ink is faint but looks to me like it says ENE 2006. That would be the abbreviation for Enero - Spanish for January.

Also, you'll notice that there was some tape placed over that tag when it was painted, so it probably started out as another color and was repainted.

Good point !
I was wondering why there was white paint on the black paint in the cavity.

Thanks.

Fender sprays black shielding paint in the cavities, then sprays the color coat on top. Note the ground wire screwed into the body.

I wasn't aware that Fender shields MIM bodies, but I guess they started doing at least some models that way.
