Hi all

I have a FSR American Series from 2003. Model number is 017-0013-(700). The specs state it wold have come with a Molded Case, but not which one. I have been told that the case it would have come with is no longer made, but I would like to try to find a used one if I can.

So does anyone know which model case this would have come with? Or being a limited run guitar (100 made) is that too tough to say?

Cheers

Great, thanks for the reply.

Well, I got in touch with Fender in the meantime and they have just responded to tell me they think the case would have been part number: 0059583000. And that these were made by SKB at the time.

Googling that hasn't helped too much though. Does anyone know if this "part number" went by any other name / model number?

Cheers

You are right, part number do not help
See in 2004 Fender Frontline all (? ) cases are there and all number start with 099 and no one finish with 3000

The case I show link have number 099-6101-106

I think in this case (well, as usual to be honest), st52 is more right than Fender's Consumer Relations. This molded case seems to be common with early 2000's US Strats and Teles, FSR or not: https://reverb.com/item/1503652-genuine ... n-standard

With another similar guitar sold, Fender didn't give a part number for the original case, but said it's not available and suggested part number 0996102306, which is a square molded case.

Anyways, since Fender has once again helped the clientele and removed the price lists (and even the Frontlines, it seems - haven't had time to check lately) from the support pages, the absolute correct answer may remain a mystery.
I checked some of the 2000ish price lists, but did not find the 0059583000, even if spelled 005-9583-000. In the 199 list, the Deluxe molded case is 004-0901-000 so I've no idea where FCR got the number they gave you.

But I'd say googling "fender red label case" and buying one of those would give an option only a very snobbish person would find incorrect.
Price-wise, should you ever sell the guitar, I think there's not much difference.
