Post subject: what model is this?

Hi am looking for some advice, i am wanting to buy an electic guitar and i have seen one for sale, i was wondering id anyone knows what model is it, the guy selling it says it has had the stickers changed on the headstock so it looks like a fender, but he says he thinks it is a squier

It has, and it is.

Aside being a fake by virtue of the changes (putting a Porsche badge on a Ford Fiesta does not make it a Porsche) it may be a reasonable guitar. Modern Squiers have a good reputation for being great guitars for the money. It all comes down to cost and if you see any point in buying a fake Rolex.

If the guitar is cheaper than the equivalent new Squier it might be worth buying, assuming you can put up with it not being what it purports to be.

If you do decide to buy it with a view to carrying out a few upgrades be aware that while you can readily get and change different parts on "real" Strats this isn't necessarily the case with SLO's (Strat like objects).

.....And being a week since the OP posted what do we think the odds are of them even reading this?
