Never adjusted this before. The spec sheet says hex wrench 3/32" is needed but isn't a thumb wheel adjusted by turning the whole wheel rather than using a hex wrench in one of the holes in it? (The 3/32" wrench seems loose in the holes anyway). Has anyone any experience of adjusting this and can explain please?

Specs sheet is wrong IMO

Any tool wich can fit in the wheel hole to turn it ( like a car steering wheel ) will do the job; Screw driver,( phillips tip should work better ) nail, nail punch.....
Use a tool wich is not too loose in the hole.

All truss rod are the same. Just the nut or wheel are different.

Righty tighty lefty loosey, no matter which end the truss rod nut is at. You want to turn it righty/clockwise to tighten it and remove some of that relief.

I know it's a bit of a PITA, but I adjust the truss rod in increments of 1/8th of a turn, wind the strings up to proper tension, and let it sit for 12-24 hours. Once it's settled, I'll play it, check and repeat if necessary.
