Hi,
I acquired one of those new roasted maple necks for my strat, https://tinyurl.com/rdm38xd. These necks are MIM. This neck is a 12" radius and I'm not seeing that Fender sells bone nuts for this radius. I'm also not sure whether the nut slot is flat a 12" radius.

Would somebody please suggest where I might find a replacement bone nut?

Thanks!

Neck don' come with nut ?

1- Buy a blanck nut

2- If you acquired the neck you can see if the slot is flat or not .

Customer support should be able to obtain the information about the nut slot.
Just about any luthiery supply merchant can supply a bone nut.

The link says that the necks come with a plastic nut installed ("Fender Genuine Synthetic Bone"). So you can't be sure of flat or radiused slot until you remove the stock nut.

He wants actual cow skeleton instead of plastic.

xmanpacheco, the stock nut is the same melamine that Fender's been using since at least the '70s. On high end USA and even many Custom Shop models.

It's not crappy polystyrene or ABS. It's as good as Corian or Tusc.

Real bone isn't really any better, and bone sometimes has soft spots so sometimes it's actually worse.

Of course bone is the classic choice, and if you just want bone, go for it.

Just saying there's no real need to change it, and it's more of a psychology thing, not a functional upgrade.

All the MIM necks I've seen have curved slots. Fender uses a gang saw to cut all the fret slots and the nut slot at the same time, so they all follow the radius of the fretboard.

+1 Thank you for your answer, now I understand.

All Fender guitar nut pictures I see have a radius top and bottom
Can't find 12 " :(

If the neck cost 299, it isn't too much to invest another 50 or so in a new nut made & fitted by a good pro.

I agree with strayedstrater, there's no real need to change the nut. But if your heart commands, go for it, it's your neck and money.
Just stay out of the endangered species bones.
