Pictures are poor to be 100 % sure. As I can see, it look original Fender Strat
500 Euros = 554 $ us

On those pics only, looks OK to me, too, but I don't think it's a 1984 guitar.
My guess is, it's an American Standard from 1986-1988; the neck heel/pocket and the pot codes might tell a more precise date.

Seller is probably saying it's an '84 from the E4 serial number... which could be from a few years later.
I agree, it looks legit, looks like the case may have a wonky hinge.

I think the price is fair given the age and condition.
Looks like the seller wants a face-to-face transaction, that's always a plus.

Years '84 and '85 are out of the question, the two point trem was introduced in 1986.

Otherwise, I'd insist on seeing autopsy pics before buying. Looks OK, but those pics just aren't enough.
Of course, that ritiro a mano might clear things.
