I did use search, perhaps I just suck at it since I'm sure this has been asked before many times but I didn't find it.

Just bought my first strat Image

I want to do a setup on it, and while the Fender support article is really good, I'd also like to see someone doing it as well. I've been playing about 10 months, also have a PRS SE and an acoustic Yamaha FGX800C. So I'm not super experienced with guitar work which is a minus, but I do have an (electrical) engineering degree, so there is that as a plus, but at 57 my eyesight is not what it used to be which is a negative, so I guess I'm -1 at this point. Perfect for using my new Strat as a learning tool, right?

All that to say, if there are any Strat setup videos that has a consensus opinion on here of being the best, I'd much appreciate it.

Oh, and every time I say "Setup" someone asks "what style do you play?". My daughter said my musical style is anything as long as it is good. :) I sing in our church worship band (pop, rock, sometimes a bit etheral) and will start playing with them soon - hence the move to buy a proper single coil guitar. My retirement goal is to join a band near Myrtle Beach playing classic rock, oldies and beach music. My daughter loves Taylor Swift so I noodle around with Taylor's stuff when my daughter is home, mostly the country stuff. My son loves hard rock and metal, hence the PRS which handles Motionless in White quite well.

Nice looking stratocaster, very nice indeed.
Since Fender only supplied you w/ two allen wrenches, one for the truss rod adjustment and one for the saddle height adjustment, you'll need a few more tools or makeshift-tools to do a proper setup. As far as the best video tutorial, to subjective as we all understand things differently. I would however recommend a book, Dan Erlewines,
"Guitar Player Repair Guide" it's a most excellent reference guide and includes all the information IMO that you should need as a player/DIY repairman.

Get that sticker off the pickguard before the adhesive permanently stains it!

Sticker is off - only stayed on long enough to take that first picture. Fortunately, the sticker was on a clear protective film as well when I took the film off, no adhesive residue!!

Thank you for the recommendation on the book. I'll look into that one. Got a lot of tools now, but yeah, I'm sure there is something else I'll need.
