It happens that my guitar is out of tune if I incline it. It is normal?

No it's not normal. I've never experienced that issue so I don't know what to suggest. Good luck.

If you are in a sitting position, and your Strat has a floating trem, and you're plugged into a tuner (like a TC Polytune), when you lean forward, the guitar will register as out of tune. Lean back, it's in tune again.
Yes, it's normal. The trem FLOATS. Things that float are never in the same place twice. Yes, it's normal.

I keep my trems decked and I never heard that a floating trem will go out of tune simply by leaning. I'm not saying that they can't, but it's news to me.

It's a scientific fact that if you tune with the guitar flat on it's back, say on a table, then pick it up, it will be slightly out of tune , to be in tune whilst playing, put your guitar on then tune
Something to do with gravity, be it however small, it does affect a floating trem (an old trick we did in the 60's)

Correct. I saw something about this in an old episode of "The Twilight Zone".

You still haven't explained what you mean by inclined your guitar.

Thanks for the clarification.
Does it go sharp when you lean back, and flat when you lean forward?

Hi, I'm of the same opinion as you. I thought about the same thing as you are amazing. And I think I'm not the only one. Have a good day. Sincerely

Check the neck to body screws and tighten them

All screws on a guitar must be check after few years.

What you say could be normal.

stratele52 - Thanks for that tip on tightening the neck screws. I have a 2009 MIM standard strat and have never checked those screws. They all took a half turn or more to tighten. WOW! Did that make a difference. No more loosing tune in the middle of a song.

Great :)

I'm not surprise.

I know that many ( most ? ) guitar player never do basic tune-up to their guitar or guitar never see a good luthier.

Is the same issue for frosfros ?
