Hi

I'm a metal player looking to getting I to some more blues' techniques, think along the lines of the Jeff Healey band and I am looking at an affordable fender to dip my toes into this new style.

I am looking at a fender player series strat hss MN but I'm not really taken with the available colours, I have seen the player series strat hss plus top MN which has really taken my eye, however I noticed that the 2 guitars are identical in every way except the plus top has a flamed maple veneer and is in a colour more to my taste.

My question is, are there any unwritten differences between these 2 guitars in feel, sound or playability or am I purely paying £150 more on the plus top just for the veneer and the aged cherry finish?

Thanks

Luke

Yes

I was having a look and seemingly the difference is only about $25 across the pond so goodness knows why it is such a hike in the UK.
