metal lickers betrayal to the metal community with everything they have released since justice for all is unforgivable. their whole alternative for alternative's sake is completely weak, they need to realize their past it and just pack up.
there are enough slow thrash bands and quite frankly 1 is enough.

I'm sorry to say they went the way of Van Halen...out of sight, out of mind.

It happens to all the great bands. It seems the listeners need a break in their 30's from what they've listened to for almost 20 years. Then in their 40's or 50's they want that stuff again and the band makes a comeback, hailed by the critic's as brilliant and they tour for $250 a ticket.

cryingstrat, that little animated picture made me throw up a little bit in my mouth. Women who like that do not pass gas (or so I keep telling myself).

I find it terrible. Quite frankly, I have a feeling I will be disapointed about their entire new album. Instead of creating great albums like Master of Puppets and Black (yep, I'm one of the few who adore that album), they are doing the same mistake with Load and St. Anger.

I like the new single. I'm not a big Metallica fan and don't have much of their collection of music though, so I can't really judge much.

Why is this in the Strat forum as well? This has absolutely nothing to do with strats. There's already a Metallica thread in the Fender Lounge.

personally, I do not think anyone should judge the entire album on one single from it, I believe this topic should be more enthusiastic on criticism after the release sept. 12

Its a shame Cliff died...if he were alive today he'd make Metallica a bigger success than Miley Cyrus or the Jonas Brothers.
