Hi guys,

I'm new here, and I have a question about a Highway One strat, which was built in 2002.

I convinced a guy to sell it to me for $660, and I am getting it tomorrow.
I have a feeling that it is a bargain? Nitro finish, american made and in condition. The price can't get much better?

I have near to none informations about the guitar, except for the mention above.
Is it a good strat? Quick Google search shows promising, but I am not so sure!

I hope you guys can help me out!

Welcome Lars

The Highway One is a nice guitar, and that is a decent price if it is in great condition. Can't wait to see pics of your new guitar. :)

Hi and welcome to the forum. I am a great fan of the HW1 guitars and have a MkII Strat and a Texas Telecaster.

Both are really nice guitars although the mahoosive frets take a bit of getting used to, particularly as I also have worn vintage frets on other guitars and rather like them.

I have spent a happy few hours working on the fret ends and edge of the fingerboard and that makes a very big difference.

The only other issue I had with the Strat is the pole pieces sat really high above the covers and I would catch them with my thumb. This I cured by packing up the covers so that the higher pole pieces were flush with the covers. Job jobbed.
