I sold my charvel cx291 (rarer strat headstock model) to a friend of mine some years ago. I rang him wednesday to see if he wanted to sell his selmer amp head. The reply, "its gone but im selling the charvel".
So last night i paid him what he paid me (all those years ago) for the guitar. Once ive cleaned it up and re wired the pickups i'll post pic's. :)

That Charvel is one of your babes, do I rightly remember? Pretty.

And talking of prodigal Strats, what has become of that MIM body whose paint you were struggling with?

Cheers - C

gave it to a friend, i couldnt be bothered stripping it again.
After all the work i put into getting the paint off in the first place, to have that blue, grey to 'hospital ward blue' I just couldnt be bothered to go through it all again.
God knows what caused it to change colour so rapidly.

Modded it this afternoon.
Installed another pot as a neck pickup volume/blend control and the tone control is master tone control for all pickups.
Nice knopfler sounds now. Why dont fender offer it as a option, its a lot more versatile than a 2nd tone control.
