IMO with super switch look you can do these mods. I need to do a sketch before to be sure
I will not until I'm sure OP will do these mod and I have time to do.

Twice as many contacts as the standard 5-way

Wouldn't it be easier to fit a separate kill-switch? Like on some Vigiers?

I wouldn't want one personally, but it'd definitely be much more effective in use than trying to 'wobble' the 5-way.

There's any amount available for about a fiver. Drill one hole and solder up a couple of wires...

Cheers - Peter.

Agreed.
Old School was to turn the neck volume all the way down and toggle the Les Paul from bridge to middle (which connected the now grounded neck volume pot).
Buckethead simplified the controls and replaced a pot with an arcade style momentary contact button. Simple, durable, and electrically as quiet as a switch can be.

But it's a momentary contact switch.

What is the intended use of the kill switch? Is it for "stutter" during performance, or is it to be used as a "standby" switch so the hands can be removed from the strings without changing the volume setting?
The latter would not be inconvenient for the 5-way, the momentary switch would not do the job.

The cleanest way to add a latching on/off kill switch would be to replace the volume pot with one with an S1 switch. Tap the volume pot to kill the output, tap it again to turn it back on.
But it would be too slow for some rapid stutter performances, since each stutter would require two taps.
