Aged Cherry Burst? I saw another guitar with an EMG pickup with the letters ACB associated with the pickups . . .

Maple Neck? Aged Cherry Sunburst?

After looking over about 50 guitars, I pieced that together. Gotta say, I am not a fan of abbreviations, but I understand using them.

I believe you are correct.
Maple Neck - Aged Cherry Burst

I greatly dislike nontypical acronyms that require people to work to figure out what they mean.
It's like the user of the acronym takes pleasure in being obtuse while thinking he (she) is being cool when they actually are the opposite of cool.
They're just being dycks.
Total dycks.
With no redeeming qualities.
I hate it.

When I see people doing that I just want to say,

Just say what you mean and stop trying to shorten it into some stupid form or shorthand that nobody knows about except you.
Stop being such a poseur.

Agreed. I can really understand it when listing the model in a title line with limited characters, but it would be better to just say, "2015 Mexican Standard Stratocaster Plus Top" in the title, THEN list Tobacco Sunburst, Maple neck in the description. . . when they do both, it's tough to track down which words the abbreviation goes with, especially in a long description.

Are you sure?

"Can't" is an abbreviation, as is "Shouldn't" etc. but I'd call a word made form the first letter of a number of words an acronym. But YMMV FWIW :-)

Actually John, can't and shouldn't are contractions.
abbr is an abbreviation of the word abbreviation.

And 01GT eibach, MN ACB is an acronym.

By definition:

Whereas an abbreviation may be any type of shortened form, such as words with the middle omitted (for example, Rd for road or Dr for Doctor), an acronym is a word formed from the first letter or first few letters of each word in a phrase (such as sonar, created from sound navigation and ranging)

+1

FWIW,
Both BMW-KTM and jmattis are correct.
https://www.dailywritingtips.com/acronym-vs-initialism/

I would consider the forum a place of a "general audience", and never the less, I understood what BMW-KTM meant.
