I bought a "USED" 1960 CS Stratocaster.
When I removed the neck to adjust a truss rod,
I found "61 strat" stomp on neck.
I'm thinking to return this guitar because of it.
Does it happen often? or is it "not" a normal stuff?
here are pictures.

It's normal. Check this topic: https://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=83256

BTW, in the sixties (and on any given Fender period), it was quite usual that a body and a neck would have way different manufacturing dates. So returning a guitar because of this kind of things might be overkill... 8)

Neck profile was pretty much the same for all slab boards.
Slab boards started in '59 and stopped back end of '62.

It's a CS guitar, NOT a pre CBS instrument.
Get over it, or send it back.
