Can you guys help me identify more on this guitar I think a 2007 Mexican made custom shop designer 60s maybe classic player? Selling for £600 ($722) is this overpriced ? At first I thought not but now having found a few details it seems like it might be. Also has it just got custom shop plates added by the previous owner?

Classic '60s Players Strat from 2007.

Everything seems to be in order and the price is typical for that model.

A nice guitar.

Not exactly a steal second hand but not a bad price by any means. If you could get £50 off then you would be doing very well.

Yup. These are good. $825 brand new with deluxe gig bag.
Designed by a guy who works in the Custom Shop, not built in the Custom Shop. Note the difference.
The 2007 will have a gen-u-wine rosewood fingerboard. The latest models are pau ferro, which feels nice but is somewhere between rosewood and maple. 12" radius if you are the bendy type. Not sure about the 2007 version, but now they come with .010 - .046 strings and a big fat Eric Johnson-approved .10 tone cap on the '69 pickups. And don't forget the Dee-Lux gig bag!

All I would say is that I recently struggled to get £550 for the same sunburst Strat, only mine was an American Standard (or whatever they called it in 2006). It was in great condition too.

Not to mention getting the same price for an as-new Les Paul Studio. I just don't think Brits (assuming you are a Brit) are spending at the moment - I have a pal in the classic car game and he said the same.

So I personally wouldn't pay £600 for a MIM - even though I'm sure it's a very nice guitar!

But obviously it's all a matter of opinion!

Cheers - Peter.

It is a strange thing how buying seems to happen in a different universe to selling. I hate selling as I never seem to get what seems to be the going rate.

I think £550 for a full fat MiA should have had people queuing round the corner.
