You are experiencing "Fretbuzz" Where the action (String Height) from the neck is too low, resultin in the string hitting the fret.

Go to your luthier, tell him you have unwanted fret buzz and he will raise the action or file your frets.

I had that happen before. To make it stop either lower your string or you might be plucking it too hard.

I agree with the above posts and would add to have the tech check your truss rod for too much/not enough relief.

dont take it to a proffesional to get it fixed, do it yourself its one of the easiest things to fix, why pay someone to do a simple job you could do yourself. im 14 and i fix the action and intonation and adjust the truss rod on all my guitars and i recently put in EMG Select pickups in my Epiphone SG by myself. if you learn to work on guitars yourself then you will be a richer man by not having to pay others to do your work :D

I agree with Pantera_333, learn to do your own setups. The process is not very hard and will teach you alot about your instrument, remember they are just guides and you will always tweak them to your liking.

What you are describing is an easy fix, although you haven't said near what fret it is buzzing at, it should be something you can work out.

As for me I like low action and don't mind a bit of unamplified buzz.

Click on the link for Fender's setup guide, good luck and have fun, if you get it so out of whack you can't recover then take it to a tech.

When you say it sounds like something is rattling around, do you mean inside the body? If so, it could be a wire vibrating up against the wood. I had a little bit of insulation that had been stripped off of a wire inside my Strat, and it would rattle around.

i experienced this once, many years ago, it was because that saddle for that single string was not properly sitting on the bridge, just adjust with the small helen key and it turned back to normal.
the other reason for buzzing with only a single string is that the string is dead and needs to be replaced.

try raising your saddle.check for intonation after.i play my strats low
with a straight neck.and i do have some fret buzz.i play the old late 60,s
and 70,s stuff.with a good amp with some gain ,you won,t hear it.or you can tweak the nut and put a capo at second fret and check bow of neck with your finger at last fret and look at string height at eight fret.good luck :D

I agree with the earlier post, don't take it to a professional. The manual that comes with your guitar tells you everything you'll need to know on how to adjust your guitar and take a look at the Fender (website)section on guitar adjustments, EXCELLENT information and directions. I took my guitar to 3 so-called pros and none of them got it right or to my liking and I paid about $63.00 each time. So, I said he*L with that I'll do it myself, I went to my local Ace hardware and bought the correct steel rule for $3.20, followed the instructions and made all the adjustments myself, and my guitar sounds awesome. Give it a try, what is the worst thing that can happen, you make it worst than it already is.
Good Luck!! Let us know if you give it a go. 8)
