This is my very first guitar upgrade and I'm seeking feedback and critique.

I started with a Player Series Fender Stratocaster in Tidepool with a maple fretboard.

It's a very solid guitar.

I started out with just wanting the locking tuners. I did that and it was an easy swap. The stock string tree was....awful...so in goes an American string tree. I had to drill a small pilot hole for the alignment nib. Easy. As it turns out, the American tree came with an American Standard bridge/tremolo. I put that on the guitar too and it's pretty nice!

For some reason, I had to put the springs right to the wall, but I suppose I can always ad two more of the original springs (I think).

I'm not a guitar tech so the setup was a little difficult. I started by measuring the high E block at 25.5 and the fourth block, too. Then I adjusted the others based on the thicknesses of the strings from there. The height was a little difficult since I don't have any fancy gauges so instead I used the trial and error method. I would put each block as low as it would go and then raised it until I had no buzzing on any of the frets. The intonation was adjusted with a tuner on the 12th fret and now it's bang on.

So far, I'm pretty happy with it! I love the spring under the tremolo arm which keeps it from flopping around and I prefer the solid blocks.

I welcome all feedback and critique!

Wow! A whole week to get approved!!!

Since making this post, I've realized that the american bridge is slightly thicker and I had to raise the two posts slightly. The bridge slotted in better and I was able to back of the claw significantly (1.5")

I also purchased a string height gauge and got that low E string down to where it should be. Intonation was no problem to set!

Looks good to me, maybe a better steel block would take it to the next level.

What do you mean? I replaced the "ping" bridge with the american standard bridge which has a steel block.
