I have just installed new Fender Vintage tuning keys on my Partscaster. Which is best for lubrication for vintage style tuning keys? Machine oil or light grease?

VERY LIGHT application of white lithium grease.
It doesn't need a lot. Don't use the aerosol type, that will spray too much... unless you spray it into a cup and apply it with a fingertip.
Machine oil will collect dirt and the tolerances are not close enough to allow it to actually do anything.

They are generally lubricated at the factory so adding your own can do more harm than good.

When you consider how little they turn, even over the course of a year, I have never thought it necessary to lube them.
