Thats it boy and girls I have a good one for you. I picked up this little gem from a local shop. From what I can tell the neck is one off of a Lite Ash Korean strat, but the body I have no idea... I have a pic of the neck joint and stamped is what looks to be "IGSER 93?? Is there a way of knowing if this is a fender body? The paint is gorgeous. Pickups are Texas special single coils and a Pearly Gates bucker. I know it's probably a Frankenstein but I'm curious to see if the body is legit. Any input would help greatly! Here is a link to the guitar from the site. You can see the pics of the neck joint. https://www.musicgoround.com/product/40 ... y-sunburst

Congrat ! :)

It is a nice guitar with one Fender Custom shop pickup, one American standard (?) and one SD Pearly Gates.
With all US electronic; pots, tone cap and pickups switch.

We can see the neck/ body- joint at the last picture. Body pickups cavity may help.

What is the body ? Sorry I can't tell. Neck pocket look different from Fender I know , mostly American or Mexican made.

Not breaking anyone's ball, here, just saying:

It's definitely a partscaster, judging by what I can tell from looking at the pictures.

I've never seen such a headstock, and the logo placing looks odd.

I have no experience with Korean fenders, though...

I don't know why but that website trips my internal alarms.
It also happens to be a link on somebody's very first post.
Hopefully I'm just being overly sensitive.

Maybe it's not a bear.

The link seems to be safe, so I'd really appreciate your opinion on the neck.
It sort of fits a Lite Ash, but the serial doesn't turn up in the Fender database. Gold hardware - I'm thinking aftermarket. Could be legit Gotoh tuners.

Sorry to say, but all in all I lean towards the "not legit".
Aliexpress sells Strat copies with abalone dotted necks. And the body - that fifth hole tells it's not a Fender. There have been some Squiers with that hole, but I can't recall a model with both features; that color (Cherry or Sienna..?) and no screw holes for the trem back cover.

The guitar itself could be a nice one, but the logos just don't belong in it. IMHO, of course.

Looks like a nice blingy partscaster with pretty good electronics. Gotoh tuners as well.
The neck is right for a Lite Ash and if you prefix the serial with 'KC' the Fender database recognises it as a Lite Ash Strat.

I tip my hat for your 'just add KC' idea.
Fender sure makes things complicated sometimes...

There are aspects of the guitar that do not trip my alarms.
The level of bling is not without precedent so it doesn't bother me.
The usual giveaways are not present.
You know the ones; the missing or wrong items like skunk stripe, walnut hole, number of trees, tree placement, decal size, decal details, decal placement, dot material, dot placement, etc.
There is none of any of that that I can see.

There are aspects that do trip my alarms.
Gotoh tuners on a non-CS guitar.
I've never seen it.
I'm not saying I have seen every guitar Fender ever made but I just don't see Fender Korea sourcing out and purchasing a batch of non-standard tuners even for a limited run model, which this may possibly be.
That just doesn't seem probable to me.

There are aspects that confuse my alarms.
Fender has used Pearly Gates and Texas Specials in their models before but at this price point?
A flamed maple top at this price point?
The price point trips an alarm for me.
Why is it being described as being used when there is not a single polish swirl or pickguard scratch and there is no fret wear?
The website still makes my spidey senses tingle even though I have now wandered around it just a little bit.
It's the prices.
Some prices seem way too high.
Then they've got vintage gear with pricing that is high but feels like it should be higher.
Then there's this ultra-bling-thing going for a song, IMO.
I don't see myself buying anything from this website.

Also, it's been 4 days since the OP and it is still his (her) only post.
A post with a link.
A link that gives me pause.
