Intellitouch-
http://www.tuners.com/
It works off the vibration of your guitar so it cuts down on outside noise & you don't need to plug the guitar in. They work great.

I've had something like this since high school. It's worked great for me.
Pretty sure I'm still on the original batteries too.

Here's the specific one I have, that's in the Archives, which I think means they discontinued it?

I bought the Korg Pitch Black pedal tuner last week and used it on a job over the weekend. It seemed to work better than any other tuner I've had.

Intellitouch for me too, works great. Simply clip it onto the headstock and it displays a big, easily readable note and whether it is high or low.

I've had a Korg tuner for a long time, but I would definately recommend the Intellitouch instead. If you pay attention at shows, you'll notice that a lot of players use these.

I use the The Intelli IMT 900 Clip-On Chromatic Tuner. You can read more about it at http://www.fretstore.com/detail.aspx?ID=1088

But don't buy it from a store. I got mine on eBay for about $12.

For your price range, you might want to try the Fender stomp pedal tuner. It has a very durable metal case, simple to use, a good deal for the money. I once had one, until I gave it to my grandson. Check it out.

Above your range by a little bit but in my opinion the best is hands down the Boss TU-2.

I use a TU-2 myself. It's a good stage tuner.

For many years of active gigging I used an Arion HU-8500 Stage Tuner. It's plastic but it's still going strong. You should be able to pick one up one used for pretty cheap. Not sure if you can find a new one any more.

I would agree completely. I now have the Boss TU-2. Much more accurate, lots of other features, incuding a built in power supply to supply power to 8 other effects pedals. I love mine and would replace it in a hot second. I didn't originally suggest it, because of the price limit that was set by this post.

First tuner was a little $20 Seiko chromatic I bought from MF. You can run it in line or set it next to you and it'll hear through it's little mic. Nice digital needle sweep meter that centers when in tune. Still use it to tune my accoustics. It's not stompable (well, maybe once), but accurate and easy, got good reviews, and the price is right.
