The story real quick: When I was about 16 an uncle of mine sold me a guitar that turned out to be a Strat to my excitement and I discovered after many years later that the serial number was rubbed off the headstock and appeared to have no other identifying marks. The owners before my uncle apparently sanded the serial off and also sanded the body as well, the body is flat black now with gloss sides.

Now at 30, I'm in the process of disassembly and reassembly and want to see if anyone can help me try an pinpoint what it is that I actually have at all possible. I've done quite a bit of digging online and unable to find anything quite like this guitar.

The body has 2 dates

Sept 15 1999
Sept 21 1999

Any help would be greatly appreciated

EDIT: Should have used a bit more time on this; the 50's Strat would have a heel adjusted truss rod and SSS routing, so ditch the ID'ing and specs below…
I'll try again, it's a MIM Standard, model number 013-4602-506... Specs should be easy to find.

Looks like a MIM Classic Series 50's Stratocaster, model number 013-1002-306.
Specs in this link: http://gwfweb.com/guitars/images/mimstrat/

Removing serial numbers is never nice, so let's just assume your uncle got it via a legit trade. We all know how uncles are...

BTW, you can post pics straight to the forum; get the pic address (https & something & .jpg) and use the IMG-command, like this:

That's no MIM Classic Series 50's Strat......the truss rod adjustment is at the wrong end of the neck.

Nice guitar, shame about the vandalism although it might well buff out with a bit of work.
