That would look real sweet with a gold anodized aluminum pickguard.

Well pretty much anything would look better than the pearl. ;-)

Very sweet looking bit of kit (pickguard aside).

I anticipate the marks on the head stock are as a result of a reaction between the foam of a wall hanger and the nitro finish. It is something you need to be wary of.

With an eleven screw pickguard I'd want to look at the wood underneath.
It could be a partscaster if the routing is wrong.

If it's like this it's fine

IMO is just because the new pickguard need 11 screw.
Seller have the original one ( with 8 screws ? )

As you said, it's your opinion.
If it's a 57 AVRI body there will not be enough wood to properly take the screw below the pickup selector.
There will also be a few more holes for the pickguard than there would have been originally.

All the OP has to do to check is undo the screws in the vicinity of the pickup selector and controls, and lift that edge of the pickguard - it will bend enough to see, and it's a simple enough request to make, and the seller can easily show the OP.
If the seller refuses it raises the question of what is it they're trying to hide ....

It's a nice looking guitar (pickguard excluded).
I wouldn't be too put off with the additional screws, because they'd be hidden with the year correct pickguard.
The bits we can see look OK, it's just that bottom control rout that would denote whether or not the neck originally came with that body.

Me neither.
I'm just keenly aware that plenty of guitars get sold that are not what they superficially appear to be.
