The nuts a bone nut. I talked to a luthier about it and it's a quality nut. Should be good. Strange . . . One thing is the Highway One's got the jumbo frets. It bends really easy and smooth, but can also seem loose, which might resemble a loose nut if you don't like it.

Have you considered an LSR roller nut? I'm thinking about getting one because I played it on a Custom Shop Pro and a Beck, and they play so fine. I'm also thinking about going with SCN noiseless p'ups, stainless steel bridge saddles, and just because it's a $50 item Schaler locking tuners, even though I'm honestly not real sure what they do.

You've got the locking tuners on your Deluxe right? Chet put them on his Highway One. What is it they do?

My guitar stays in tune, now that the strings are broken in. The first week or two, before I put the 5 springs in the trem and with brand new strings, I tuned it more often than usual. The standard tuners are really good and tune up real fast when I adjust it or give it a tune up every couple of weeks (finding it's in tune basically). I use the tremolo for vibrato but not for dive bombing, because I'm not even sure what that is. If the tuners are loose and going out when you bend or something, then they have screws and you can tighten them up. The little screws in the tuning keys do it.
