Does anyone have a highwayone that they have something to say about?
Do you have pictures of them to show us?

I have a highway one tele that I couldn't be happier with, can not speak to the Strats...I am sure that it would be safe to say you won't be disappointed. American quality, great feel and playability.

We recently gave away the Highway One HSS guitar that was used in all of our marketing materials... I had the opportunity to play it several times while it was in our department and I must say I LOVED IT!!! I loved it so much that I have been slowly saving for one ... But, I keep spending my $$$ on Star Wars merchandise

Hi All!

:D Just recently got an upgraded highway 1 strat in 3 tone sunburst with the maple fretboard. Totally in love with it :D Ive had a squier pro tone strat before but this just outshines that. Great strat sound, fantastic playability , great fit and finish. I really love the big headstock on a strat, wanted 22 frets and liked the idea of a nitro finish. After getting the guitar and playing it a lot i noticed that the finish was buffing out and getting shiny, so i decided to go the whole hog and buff it all out with some car polish, and it now looks really really great. heres some pics (they may not show up for long as im changing my isp and my hosting is about to disapear, but will get them on photobucket soon. Anyway heres some pics

Yo... I think I saw you post these pics up on another forum. Anyway, I think it looks alright buffed... but kind of defeats the purpose of the Highway 1 finish... might as well have gotten a strat with a standard finish.

Still, strats look nice regardless.

Actually, buffing the guitar out is a great idea; one we recommend. That way, it ages from your playing, giving you a personalized guitar. The thin lacquer finish is great; you can polish it, check it, and wear it out. Like a Custom Shop guitar for under 1K.

Enjoy

I have one of the Upgraded Highway 1's. I bought it because I really loved the Flat Black Satin finish. I have replaced all the hardware with black hardware and put on Locking Schaller Tuners, and Straplocks. I topped it off with a black pearloid pickguard. The pups and electronics are stock and I really like them.

Well i wouldnt say that, the finish is still thin as it ever was, but now has a nice vintagey gloss to it. I didn't buy it specifically for the matt finish although i did like it that way, and was going to leave it how it was but after it started to get buffed by playing i thought it would be cool to just go the whole way, and i must say now i like it more :D . Also getting an american standard strat in sunburst with a normal glossy poly finish would have set me back an awfull lot more money than the highway 1 which i didnt have, so all in all im a happy camper, got a great looking and playing guitar for a lot less cash.
