When does Fender typically release their new model year guitars? I've noticed on this website that many colors for various guitars are no longer available. Do they typically change or add new colors every year?

For what it's worth, the general trend in manufacturing is away from year models. Even the car industry releases new models whenever they are ready to come onto the market. They still use the year model nomenclature because people are familiar with it.

Last year Fender redid the Standard. It'll probably stay that way for several years. I'm glad they don't try to force tiny changes every year and tout them like they are the second coming. Can you imagine how hard that would be on the chronic G.A.S.'ers?

I'm not so interested in new features as I am different colors. Just curious if they change up the colors offered every now and then.
