if you were able to create the your strat what would you have on it?

Me, rosewood neck, 2 tone sunburst, vintage tuners and bridge, my name on the headstock, white pickguard, and Texas specials or noiseless pickups

Mine would be a maple C-shaped neck with maple fretboard. Light satin finish. 70's style large headstock with locking tuners. Alder body 3 tone sunburst with the light satin finish (found on HIghway Ones). White 4 or 3-ply pickguard, One volume two tone knobs, one tone nob for neck, one tone knob for bridge pickup. Floyd Rose bridge and nut. Little button to activate bridge pickup when in neck position (like the Deluxe PLayers Strat). An extra kill switch for the effect. SCN or Vintage Noiseless Humbucking in bridge (or SSS, I'm not sure of what I'd like more) with black covers. black plastic parts, and nickel hardware for all. Jumbo frets.

I almost wish I could post a reply that includes a frankenstrat mix of vintage years and pups......but I gotta say the EJ is the guitar I'd build to be my perfect strat. Boring huh?

My ultimate strat would be a Vintage '57 Hot Rod reissue. One piece maple "C" neck. Natural finish on an Ash body. Gold hardware with a gold vintage tremelo. Seymour Duncan Hot Rail in the Bridge position, Silver Lace Sensor in the middle, and Blue lace sensor in the neck.

Yeah that's it.

hm.... super thin neck, similar to an ibanez wizard or jackson, with red-pearl inlays (still just dots) ,neck-thru, loaded with DiMarzio X2N's, with a ball-bearing fulcrum styled bridge similar to the Ibanez ZR bridge, just without ibanez's crappy plastic pieces in there, quilt maple black cherry burst, with matching headstock, and the seymour duncan DEQ-20 system in it. Ultimate metal strat.

this is a funny, although touchy, topic. look at the Great Jimi Hendrix...his was right off the rack and flipped over  so... having said that, reverse headstock maple neck ash body butterscotch blonde with blk pickguard or 2-tone burst with white p'guard vintage noiseless neck &mid possibly a hot rails in the lead, the short- lived Fender/Floyd hybrid trem from early 90's jeff beck strat LSR nut & tuners
