I just bought an Atomic Humbucker on eBay for my Highway One Strat and I can't find the color code anywhere. The diagram for the HSS Highway One in the wiring diagrams section on the Fender site just shows a black and white. Anyone know the color code?

I'd recommend asking a local guitar shop.

I've seen these wires mixed on some of those pickups. Either red or green could be the ground, the other goes to the selector switch. Good luck!

Thanks for the replies. I guess it's going to be up to good old trial and error.

Actually just looked up the Highway One Toronado wiring diagram which was in color. For the bridge, the green is hot and the red/bare are ground with the black/white soldered and taped. On the neck, switch the red and green.

Would this diagram work for a Standard Stratocaster SSS to Stratocaster HH conversion I'm getting ready to do? The only difference between my conversion, and Fender's Standard Stratocaster HH, will be that I'm going to use Atomic Humbucker pickups. I've got a white pick guard, as well, instead of converting all the plastic stuff to black, so I'll (eventually) be ordering my Atomic pickups with white bobbins.

Matt

I'd use one for a Big Apple Strat or something that had 2 humbuckers, 2 volume, 2 tone and a 5 or 3 way switch and just use the color codes for the Atomics. Seymour Duncans website has almost any diagram you can think of, that's what I usually use.
