I thought the Am. Deluxes w/ noiseless came along about mid/late1998.
While the Plus guitars changed to noiseless around 93/94.

The Plus guitars came factory equipped with Lace Sensors, with the only difference being a Nashville configuration (bridge: T-150/mid: non-RWRP Chrome Dome/neck: TN-100) with 7-way switching, bound top and contoured back for the Telecaster.

This version of the Tele Plus became later the American Deluxe Nashville Telecaster with Vintage Noiseless pickups and optional Fishman Powerbridge which lasted only one year.

The OP is asking about 1989 - 1990 guitars.

American Deluxes came with Lace Sensors until 1997.
Vintage Noiseless were introduced in 1998.

Just think of how awesome a guitar player you could have been by now if you had only spent the last 10 years practicing instead of obsessing over pickups and roasted maple necks.

I'll tell you that I remember (since there are no photos):

I bought it in Greece at 1992 (may was a model of 1989 - 1991) and cost around 1000$.
Sure was American, black with maple neck, tremolo, three pickups with poles (not Lace cover style), hard case (with a big carved 'Fender' logo outside), 5 position pickup switch.

Pickups were AlNiCo V single-coils with flush polepieces.

Electronics included master volume, tone (neck), TBX (middle/bridge).

Fender switched from silver transitional to 50's spaghetti-style decals in 1994. Serial numbers moved to back of the headstock. Pickups and circuitry changed to DeltaTone system in 1997; transition from swimming pool to universal HSH pickup routing occurred in late 1998.

OK, the Greece part seems to void my "export model for Japan/Asia markets" guess. Funny, but I never met one in Scandinavia back then - and even on the second hand market here, those just don't seem to show up.

The web pics of original (or "assumed original") guitars of this export only series show staggered polepieces, but that's just about how much info can be found.
So, still waiting for a contribution from any member who actually has one of these HIK/export guitars...

And a BTW; these guitars seem to have two quite exceptional features besides the ones already mentioned. Level middle screw holes on the trem back cover, and dots below numbers on the vol/tone knobs. I wonder how many of these have been doomed as fake Fenders on guitar forums...

I got an answer from Fender says that this guitar had 3 American Standard Strat Single Coils.
Thanks Mr Eduardo Ardon (Fender Consumer Relations /U.S. Direct Sales).

Not great on detail, is he?! Info re magnets, stagger, and how many 'k' would be helpful. However, sounds like the pups I suggested way back at the start of this thread...?

Cheers - Peter.

OK, once more: I don't have personal experience on these guitars, so standing on the shoulders of giants here. But this gets more and more baffling to me - and I'm sorry if I baffle anyone else while babbling on...

Here's a 1991er, having all the telltale marks of the "HIK/export only" guitars - but the serial is F+digits.
And it's got ceramic, staggered pole pickups:
https://forums.fender.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=100583

BTW, if Fender previously had no records/specs/info on these guitars, how do they now suddenly know the pickups type?
And another BTW, the support/US-dating page info on these guitars seems to change quite often...

Ok, this is a bit confusing..
I got another answer from Fender (thanks Mr Jeremy Ault - Representative, Consumer Relations /U.S. Direct
Sales) says that for the export models of that era, Fender does not have any specs on file as Fender Japan at that time was a separate entity from Fender U.S. licensed to make guitars for that market.
