A little sidetracking from the saddles issue…

The bridge on my American Deluxe has only one hex-screw to tighten the tremolo bar

Off the top of my head, I can't remember an AmDlx trem block with only one (trem arm tightness adjuster) hex.
Which model/year is the guitar - or could it be that someone already has modded the trem?

It is the right saddles.
It is the wrong plate.
That plate was drilled for saddles in which the intonation screw runs down the centre of the saddle, as opposed to down one leg of the saddle.
There are several saddle styles and sizes and there are several plate styles and sizes and many of them are incompatible with each other.

In this picture, other than the saddles being obviously different the plates themselves look to be the same at first glance.
It isn't until you break out the tape measure or put them side by each that you see the difference in the position of the intonation screw holes and the pivot points.

This is the plate you need for those saddles.

That's right. But besides that plate, I would also need the American Deluxe Tremolo Block.

All the parts that I have received correspond to the American Deluxe except the plate and the tremolo block. They are for the American Professional (meant to be used with centered screw saddles, not with offset screw saddles, and with a thinner tremolo arm)

That also explains why the tremolo bar doesn't fit, after removing the saddle that is blocking the hole.

"The only difference between the American Professional Strat and the American Deluxe Strat tremolo block assembly is the plastic tremolo arm tensioning bushing. The American Deluxe Strat's bushing has an inside diameter of approximately 0.218" where as the American Professional Strat's has an inside diameter of approximately 0.188", this difference is because each of these Strat's accept a different diameter tremolo arm, everything else about these tremolo blocks are the same for the American Deluxe and the American Professional Strat's. Typically the bushing for the American Deluxe is black and the American Professional is white, but Fender may change materials for these bushings at any time and colors may change."

From this article: https://www.stratcat.biz/pop-in-tremblock.shtml

I hope that the vendor will send me a new whole set, to replace everything

This is correct, although the block is standard the Deluxe/Elite bush and arm are different to the Professional - only Fender could do something like this!
The Deluxe and Elite nylon bush is 0036614000 BUSHING NYL BLK .31OD .22ID x .87L
The Professional bush is 7710005000 BUSHING NYL NAT .31 OD X .191 ID X .87 L
Inside diameter 0.221" and 0.191"
I should have read the parts lists thoroughly.

If you are going to go that route then I would suggest you get a Callaham block instead of the Fender unit. The benefits of these blocks have been discussed at length on these pages as well as on many other guitar related forums. If you are unfamiliar with them it will be an easy thing to search the forum for comments. To date, I have never read any negative comments about them. I have one in one of my Strats and I really like the difference it made.

Thank you for the suggestion!

It seems like the supplier has a similar issue with the other kits that they have in stock, so they have kindly offered a full refund (and I do not need to return it, to avoid extra shipping expenses).

I am going to consider the Callaham solution, but it seems like they do not sell the complete kit that includes the plate. Only the block, saddles, arm and springs. Therefore, since the plate that I have is for an American Professional, not the American Deluxe, I guess that I may need the Callaham American Professional Premium Upgrade Kit (block + saddles + bar + springs).

http://www.callahamguitars.com/strat_tr ... atalog.htm

But I am wondering if there will be any issue to install the American Professional trem on the MIM Deluxe guitar. :?

It depends on the screw post spacing - see photo in previous post.

I am somewhat sceptical of the claims on the Callaham upgrade. How can replacing a steel block with a steel block make an iota of difference?

If it was me, and considering you now have the bridge for free, I would just replace the saddles, get the correct arm and consider I got a damn good deal all things being equal.

Here is a genuine Fender bridge assembly for your exact guitar but with the substitution of a steel block.
The kit comes with a few parts you won't need.
The kit is designed for people building Partsocasters who need everything.

Thank you for the information.

At that same shop I can buy only the parts that I need. I can reuse everything except the plate and the tremolo block. The cost is $67 instead of $125

I am preparing this shopping list:

Genuine Fender American Deluxe, Ultra & Elite Strat Chrome Bridge Top plate
https://www.stratcat.biz/003-6527-000.shtml

Genuine Fender American Deluxe/Ultra/Elite Strat Tremolo Block, Bare
https://www.stratcat.biz/003-6530-000.shtml

The tremolo block does not include accessories, so I will also need this:

Bridge Top Plate to Tremolo Block Mounting Screws for American Strat Tremolo Bridges
https://www.stratcat.biz/268-758-3071.shtml

Genuine Fender American Deluxe/Ultra/Elite Strat Nylon Tremolo Arm Bushing
https://www.stratcat.biz/003-6614-000.shtml

Genuine Fender American Deluxe/Ultra/Elite/Professional Strat Tremolo Arm Retaining Clip
https://www.stratcat.biz/003-6531-000.shtml

Genuine Fender American Deluxe/Ultra/Elite/Professional Strat Tremolo Arm Tensioning Set Screws, Set of 2
https://www.stratcat.biz/003-6615-049.shtml

It looks like you posted everything to have a tremolo arm but you did not post a tremolo arm.
That same site offers custom arms for your bridge hardware as well as the traditional stock arms.

Tremolo Arms

I don't need a tremolo arm. It came with the American Deluxe Bridge full-kit that I have already received (only the plate and block were wrong)

Anyway, I've also ordered their custom Gilmour 4¼" arm, just for fun 8)
