I have purchased an American Deluxe Bridge for Stratocaster, Fender P.N. 0077092049 on ebay

My surprise when I open the box is that the saddles are displaced to the right side. Therefore, the saddle of the first string is half covering the hole of the tremolo bar. It is not possible to insert the bar!!

Furthermore, if I remove the first saddle to try to insert the bar, I cannot insert it because the diameter of the plastic inside the hole is smaller than the bar. I have untightened the two screws on the side, but it doesn't help.

What do you think? Could it be a counterfeit or is it a defective part?

Why do they call it American Deluxe if it is made in Mexico?

Comparison of the original bridge of my American Deluxe Strat (below) with the spare part.

Saddle removed, but still not possible to insert the bar

Return it.
Those are not the correct saddles for that plate.
It is either a counterfeit, or it is a misassembly of parts from returns and reboxed.
Notice how the through-holes line up with the holes in the back of the plate for the intonation screws, but the saddled are offset?
Return it.

Compare how the saddles line up with the pivot points.
You have the correct saddles for that part number, but the bridge itself is incorrect.
That is probably an MiM bridge.

Thank you for the information!

I have already requested a refund to the vendor on Ebay. Unfortunately, I had to pay taxes and import duties on arrival to Thailand from the US, so it is going to be a loss

Someone has put the wrong saddles on the bridge. The plate looks like a US plate as the back ridge runs full width but it should be fitted with bent steel (vintage) saddles.

But the part that I have ordered (0077092049) is for the American Deluxe. Therefore, it should have the modern block saddles, not the bent vintage.

Another difference: The bridge on my American Deluxe has only one hex-screw to tighten the tremolo bar, but this spare part that I have received has two hex-screws.

Saddles look very close to the good one, or it is the picture and saddles are the right one ;

Thank you for the information.

It looks like the model on that picture, except for the issue of the displaced saddles blocking the bar hole.

Note: I cannot access to these links of the Fender website. I am always redirected to the main page "https://shop.fender.com/en/intl/start". Perhaps these pages are not accessible from outside the US.

BTW: the Ebay vendor has kindly replied and he is going to request a replacement to his supplier

Here are more detailed pics:

The intonation screw holes and the string holes are in line on the back plate of the OP's bridge. This means the intonation screw must be central - as per a vintage saddle. Deluxe block saddles intonation screws are off set to the right.

Having looked on the site, what you have is an American Professional bridge with Deluxe saddles fitted.

https://shop.fender.com/en-US/parts/bridges/american-professional-strat-bridge-assembly/0992004000.html

The two aren't compatible.

You are right John Sims , wrong saddles or wrong bridge / tremolo plate.

Exactly!
Mystery solved :)

And that also explains why the tremolo bar doesn't fit, because it is an American Deluxe bar over an American Professional bridge

Waiting for a replacement...

According to the service diagrams, the 2010 American Deluxe, 2016 Professional and Elite all use the same tremolo block, Fender part number 0077090000. The arm should fit regardless of model. Could be the hex screws need slackening.
