So, I own a 1994 red Strat, which is a Brazilian made early 90s series called "Southern Cross series".

It has Fender Fat 50s on it, but the pots, caps and wires were all stock and of really poor quality. This series was made under license and the pickguards were made and loaded in Korea, by Cortek (later Cort), at Fender's request. This guitar is like a halfbreed between a Mexican Fender and an Asian Squier, the pots, caps and wiring being its Aquiles heel, so to speak.

All right, since I really love this guitar, having had memorable moments with it, I chose to give it some GOOD stuff and decided to go Emerson Custom on it. 8) Emerson's stuff is really second to none.

Talked to Mitch at Emerson about the pickguard dimensions and measurings, and when he gave me the green light I chose a blender 5-way kit, not exactly because of the blender, but because I like to have a master volume and a master tone.

250k Custom made pots, paper in oil Emerson classic capacitor, and a 5 way Oak Grigsby switch are the contents here.

The job was done today. Can't wait to take it home and try it.

Happy 25, girl!

P.S. Sorry for the bad quality pics of the guitar. Those were taken by the tech who did the job for me.

The pics look fine and the new parts look great.

Rawk on!

Cool! I just ordered new harness too with the blender as well! I looked at the emerson but wanted something with the option to coil split with the blender as well. Let us know how it is!

That's going to sound nice.
The only thing I'd do differently, I'd add a vintage grounding plate between the pots and pickguard. Even with the pot shells wired, it still reinforces a positive ground to the switch and all pots.

+1

Fender's full pickguard shield (P/N 0019699000) will get the job done right.
