I managed to buy what seems like an 80's or 90's american made Stratocaster last year in NYC.

The serial number is I-013143, and the guitar's neck has "Made in USA" stamped/machine-carved into the base of the neck (still visible without removing), right nearby where the neck connects with the body of the guitar.

I've tried to find some sort of official information on the make and model (and what year it might have been made) by looking up the serial number, but I can't find anything on Fender's FAQ for serial numbers (the page identifies I+7 digit serial numbers, but not I+6 digit serial numbers).

The closest info I've found so far has been contradictory on some unofficial sources saying that there were either I+6 and then show an example of I-00001, and another saying there were only I+7 (although both have identified the "Made in USA" on the heel of the neck and said that they were 1989/1990 made in usa for export).

Anyone have any leads or can help me ID this guitar? (Will upload pics of serial number, heel, and neck attachment later today or tomorrow)
